Abstract

치과에서 방사선 촬영이 현저하게 증가하게 되고 구내 촬영기의 보급이 보편화되었다 그
러나 사용연한에 따라 치과용 구네 X-선 촬영기의 초점 크기가 변할 수 있고 해상능은 다
를 것으로 생각되며 이는 치과 방사선 사진 판독에 영향을 미칠 것으로 생각되었다. 이에
저자는 사용연한에 따른 치과용 구내 X-선 촬영기의 해상능을 평가하기 위해서 해상력 차
이를 이용한 선쌍/㎜을 측정하고 초점 크기는 별모양의 시험 모형을 사용하여 측정하였다.
이의 결과는 다음과 같았다.
1. 치과용 구내 X-선 촬영기의 해상능은 사용연한 10년 이네에서는 유의한 차이를 나타
내지 않았다.
2. 초점 크기는 치과용 구내 X-선 촬영기의 사용연한 10년 이내에서는 유의한 차이를 나
타내지 않았다. 3년이상 사용된 촬영기의 초점은 제조회사가 표시한 공칭 초점 (0.8㎜)과 비
교할때 유의한 차이를 나타내었다.

The purpose of this study was to assess the resolution and focal spot size of dental
X-ray machines. Fifty dental X-ray machines were selected for measuring resolution
and focal spot size. These machines were used in general dental clinics. The time of
installation of the X-ray machine varies from 1 year to 10 years. The resolution of
these machines was measured with the test pattern. The focal spot size of these
machines was measured with the star test pattern.
The following results were obtained .
1. The resolution of dental intraoral X-ray machines was not significantly changed in
ten years.
2. The focal spot size of dental intraoral X-ray machines was not significantly
increased in ten years. The statistical analysis between the mean focal spot size and
nominal focal spot size was significant at the 0.05 level about the more than 3 years
used machines.
